Couples therapy
Gottman-informed work for real relationships.
I use practical, research-informed tools to help couples understand their patterns and build a stronger way forward.
What the Gottman Method helps couples do
The Gottman Method gives couples a clear way to understand conflict, strengthen friendship, repair after hurt, and build habits that support a lasting relationship.
It is not about handing you a script or deciding who is right. It is about helping you understand the pattern between you and practice a different way of responding.
Why couples-specific training matters
Couples therapy is different from individual therapy. Specialized training helps me understand the pattern between two people, not just each person’s separate experience. I chose to pursue it so I can bring a more structured, informed approach to the work we do together.
My Level 2 Gottman Method training gives me assessment tools and practical interventions for conflict, friendship, trust, and shared meaning. I continue to broaden that foundation through ongoing professional development.
My training and ongoing work
I have completed Level 2 training in the Gottman Method. My next area of advanced study is Terry Real’s Relational Life Therapy, expanding the tools I bring to couples work.
Are you a Certified Gottman Therapist?
No. Certification is a separate path. Rather than pursue certification, I am broadening my advanced training through Terry Real’s Relational Life Therapy while continuing to use Gottman-informed tools where they serve the couple.
Are you trained in the Gottman Method?
Yes. I have completed Level 2 training in the Gottman Method and continue to deepen my training and bring Gottman-informed tools into my work with couples.
